The
\n University Carlos III of Madrid (UC3M) has obtained the accreditation
\nof the AACSB, an international <\/span>association <\/span>that recognizes the best educational
\n centers in the world for its teaching quality in graduate,
\npostgraduate and doctorate, and its research in the areas of business
\nadministration<\/span>, accounting, finance and marketing.<\/p>\n

<\/span>AACSB
\n accreditation is the hallmark of excellence in business education and
\nhas been earned by less than five percent of the world’s 13,000 business
\nmanagement programs <\/span><\/span>. <\/span>Only some of the best Spanish business schools (all private) have this seal. <\/span>The UC3M is the first Spanish public university to achieve it through its Department of Business Economics.<\/p>\n

<\/span>“AACSB
\n accreditation represents the highest achievement for an educational
\ninstitution that awards business management degrees,” said Robert D.
\nReid, executive vice president and chief accreditation officer of AACSB
\nInternational, who congratulated the entire UC3M team, <\/span>“Including the administration, faculty, principals, staff and students.”<\/p>\n

<\/span>Achieving accreditation requires a rigorous internal review process, mentored by the AACSB and based on peer review. <\/span>During
\n the process, which lasts several years, the institution develops and
\nimplements a plan that allows it to align itself with AACSB
\naccreditation standards. <\/span>These standards require excellence in areas related to strategic
\ndirection, research, innovation, student training, excellence among
\nfaculty and staff administration and services, as well as academic and
\nprofessional commitment.<\/p>\n

<\/span><\/span>AACSB International<\/a> (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business)
\nis the world’s largest business management education network that
\nconnects the academy to the business world. <\/span>Founded
\n in 1916, it provides quality consulting, business intelligence and
\nprofessional development services to more than 1,500 organizations in 97
