The students of the Master’s Degree in Actuarial and Financial Sciences have had the opportunity to receive a GLM,s course during the month of April. The course has been given free of charge to all interested students.<\/o:p><\/p>\n

The teaching has been carried out by Professor Doctor Jes\u00fas Sim\u00f3n del Potro,\u00a0Associate Professor of UC3M, Engineer and Actuary.<\/o:p><\/p>\n

The program of the course has been the following:<\/o:p><\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Linear models<\/o:p><\/li>\n
  2. Distributions of the exponential family (Poisson, Binomial, Exponential)<\/o:p><\/li>\n
  3. Construction of the GLM, s:<\/o:p><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0-Distribution of error and link function (link ratio): identity, log, logit, probit.<\/o:p><\/p>\n

    \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0– Maximum likelihood estimator (NLL)<\/o:p><\/p>\n

    \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a04. Application examples of GLM, s with Excel and R (Variables dummies, Grouping of variables, Wald test,\u00a0Odss\u00a0ratio, Statistic G, Judging the adjustment of a logistic regression, False positives)<\/o:p><\/p>\n<\/p>\n
