The objective of the conference, which in this edition was attended by more than 100 people including professionals from the sector and master’s degree students, has been to disseminate both the Final Master’s Thesis (TFM) of the UC3M and the lectures given by professionals prestigious, making known the latest lines of financial-actuarial research and their practical applicability. This year various topics related to the “Silver Economy” have been addressed.<\/p>\n
After the opening of the conference, carried out by M\u00aa Jos\u00e9 Salcedo<\/span> (Director of the ICEA Research Area), the professor and TFM tutor of the master’s degree Jos\u00e9 Miguel Rodr\u00edguez Pardo<\/span> dedicated his presentation to the Economics of aging, how the aging of societies is affecting and will affect the economy in the future, as well as the influence of the pandemic that we have suffered (and still suffer), may have on the aforementioned Economy of aging.<\/p>\n Next, the two awarded Master’s Final Projects were presented.<\/p>\n Final Master’s Project awarded 2019:<\/span><\/p>\n Bayesian spatial model for estimating disability in Spain with the INLA methodology<\/span><\/p>\n Bel\u00e9n Mir\u00e1s Maz\u00e1s<\/span> (Student of the Master in Actuarial and Financial Sciences at UC3M<\/span>)<\/p>\n Final Master’s Project awarded 2020:<\/span><\/p>\n Longevity projections using common sample points<\/span><\/p>\n Natalia Salazar Vesga<\/span> (Student of the Master in Actuarial and Financial Sciences at UC3M<\/span>)<\/p>\n The conference continued with presentations by different professionals from the actuarial sector:<\/p>\n 1.
