Although
\nthe term to adapt the Master’s Study Plan to the Basic Study Plan of the AAE is
\ntwo to four years, the Master in Actuarial and Financial Sciences of UC3M, with
\nthe support of professors and students, has already revised and adapted its
\nteaching content.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The Core
\nSyllabus establishes a minimum framework for the academic training of a
\nprofessionally recognized actuary.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n

The purpose
\nof the AAE Core Syllabus is to define a common understanding and to achieve
\nharmonization of actuarial education across Full Membership Associations. The
\nCore Syllabus together with its detailed learning areas is intended to underpin
\nthe Mutual Recognition Agreement and the Statutes of the AAE.<\/o:p><\/span><\/p>\n<\/p>\n

The
\nActuarial Association of Europe (AAE) was established in 1978 under the name
\nGroupe Consultatif to represent actuarial associations in Europe. Its purpose
\nis to provide advice and opinions to the various organizations of the European
\nUnion \u2013 the Commission, the Council of Ministers, the European Parliament,
\nEIOPA, and their various committees \u2013 on actuarial issues in European
\nlegislation. The AAE currently has 37 member associations in 36 European
\ncountries, representing over 27,000 actuaries. Advice and comments provided by
\nthe AAE on behalf of the European actuarial profession are totally independent
