around 140 people attended the event, including numerous master&#8217;s program students.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: inherit;\">M\u00aa Jos\u00e9 Salcedo, Director of the Research Area at ICEA, and Margarita Samart\u00edn, Director of the Master&#8217;s Degree in Actuarial and Financial Sciences, were in charge of opening the session and welcoming attendees and participants.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: inherit;\">The different presentations were then developed:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: inherit;\">Carlos Cris\u00f3stomo, Student Garrido, Emeritus Professor at Concordia University in Montreal: The North American Actuarial Climate Index and its implications for Spain and Europe<\/li>\n<li>Francisco Espejo, Deputy Director of Studies and International Relations at the Insurance Compensation Consortium: Causes of the evolution of the accident rate due to natural risks<\/li>\n<li>Federico Tassara, Chair Society of Actuaries Latin America Committee\/Business Transformation Manager in Munich Re: Global reinsurance solutions for climate change risk<\/li>\n<li>Eduardo S\u00e1nchez, Corporate Actuarial Director at Mapfre: Challenges of the actuary in the face of climate
