Jesper Rüdiger is a tenured lecturer (Ramón y Cajal researcher) in the Business Economics Department at Carlos III, where he teaches financial economics.

He obtained his doctorate in Economics from Carlos III and was previously a postdoc at the European University Institute in Florence and a visiting professor at the University of Copenhagen.

His research focuses on finance and game theory, particularly on topics related to information in markets. He has published in American Economic Review, AEJ:Micro and Journal of Economic Theory.

He is the principal investigator in a Knowledge Generation Project of the State Research Agency (together with José Penalva). Previously, he was the principal investigator in a project of the Ramón Areces Foundation.
