Martin Hetu is an Assistant Professor of Management in the Department of Business Administration at Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. His research focuses on the cross-border implications of intellectual property rights institutions. More specifically, he studies the impact of variations in national intellectual property rights regimes on firms' technology development investments and the mobility of scientists at the international level.
His research has received support from Spain's Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, the Strategic Management Society's Strategy Research Foundation, Canada's Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council and the Fonds de recherche du Quebec - Societe et cultures.
He completed his PhD in Management (Strategy and Business Policy) at HEC Paris and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto. He also holds a law degree from McGill University and a MSc in International Studies from the University of Montreal.
