The article Friend-Shield Protection From the Crowd: How Friendship Makes People Feel Invulnerable to COVID-19, by Crystal Lee and Eline De Vries of UC3M Business, has been mentioned in media outlets in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Spain. The study concludes that, people’s risk perception, and the propensity to engage in risky behaviors related to exposure to COVID-19 increase when the behavior is associated with friends.

The study appeared in CNN, The Guardian, and in the official press release of the American Psychological Association.
