Data Summary
BANKSCOPE is a comprehensive global database containing information on public and private banks. It includes information on 28,000 banks worldwide. It combines data from the leading information provider, Fitch Ratings, and nine other sources, with software for searching and analysis. Each bank report contains a detailed consolidated and/or non-consolidated balance sheet and income statement, with a total of up to 200 data items and 36 ratios pre-calculated per bank. The data is supplied with varying degrees of standardization and detail so that you can search and analyze banks across borders. “As reported” information is also provided so that you can analyze individual banks in detail. In addition to the existing ratios, you can also create your own, which can be displayed in the reports and also used in your searches and analyses.
BANKSCOPE also offers:

- Ownership – researched by BvDEP, this section lists a bank’s shareholders, banking subsidiaries and non-banking subsidiaries.
