BoardEx
Data Summary
BoardEx provides access to the academic background, work history, and connections of directors and executives. It also allows for the analysis of the proportion of directors with political connections, using controls at the executive director level, such as age, gender, and experience. In addition, it allows for the extraction of stock options held by executives. The records are divided between BoardEx data in North America, the United Kingdom, Europe, and the rest of the world.
BoardEx data consists of remuneration, employment, and relationship data from more than 20,000 companies from 1999 to the present. In total, BoardEx contains more than 2 million profiles of public, private, and non-profit organizations, and more than 1.5 million people. Approximately 33% of individuals currently serve on corporate boards, and 38% are members of boards or senior managers. All BoardEx data is collected from reliable and published sources and cannot be edited by users. Our data is supported by a team of more than 350 qualified analysts who research, verify, and maintain millions of profiles.
The data includes current and historical roles (with start and end dates) of positions on boards of directors, employment, and education. On average, they perform 27,000 profile updates and add 2,500 new profiles each week.
