Master's Thesis
The Master’s Thesis consists of the elaboration of a research work in one of the areas covered in the study plan and its public presentation before a tribunal.

The prestige achieved by the Master’s Degree in Actuarial and Financial Sciences of the Carlos III University of Madrid has allowed the insurance market to singularly recognize the training achieved by the actuaries graduated from this University, allowing a very high level of incorporation into the labor market. In addition, the Carlos III University of Madrid Foundation has a Career Guidance and Planning Service (SOPP) that guides, informs and facilitates access to the labor market for graduates.
Each year, a study of labor insertion is carried out referring to the graduates of the University of the previous year, which you can find here.
Official recognition
Upon completion of this extension of the master’s studies, graduates of the Master’s Degree in Actuarial and Financial Sciences of UC3M are qualified to practice the profession of actuary. This degree is recognized by the Institute of Actuaries.
Internship program
Our master’s degree has 18 credits of mandatory internships in prestigious entities. Many of our students are subsequently hired in these institutions.
