Carlos Mallo

Carlos Mallo Rodríguez holds a Doctorate in Economic Sciences. He is a member of the Royal Academy of Economic and Financial Sciences. He is Professor of Financial Economics and Accounting at the Carlos III University of Madrid, where he has served as Vice-Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law and Director of the Department of Business Economics.

He is currently the Director of the “Francisco Tomás y Valiente” Center for Studies, Research and Continuing Education, located on the Colmenarejo Campus of the Carlos III University of Madrid. He was a member of the Commission of Experts that prepared the White Paper for the Reform of Accounting in Spain. He has also been President of the Spanish Association of Finance Executives.

He has taught Cost and Management Accounting since 1968, when the Autonomous University of Madrid was founded, and has published several books, including: Analytical Accounting, Costs, yields, prices and results (ICAC) and Cost and Management Accounting (Ediciones Pirámide). He has also been an executive of an industrial company and a business consultant. He is a founding member of the Association for Control and Management (ACODI) and has been President of the International Institute of Costs.
