Donation of Mr. Camilo Pieschacón Velasco’s personal library to the Carlos III University Library.

D. Camilo Pieschacón Velasco (1934-2020) was born in Colombia, studied and graduated in actuarial mathematics and economics at the University of Cologne, Germany. His professional career spans more than half a century devoted primarily to the insurance sector, also including the financial sector, capital markets, economic and monetary policy, etc.

The family of Mr Camilo Pieschacón Velasco has donated a significant number of books to the Library of the Carlos III University of Madrid from their private collection, of great interest to the University and specifically to the students of the Master in Actuarial and Financial Sciences.

The volumes, which have been catalogued and registered, are already available at the Madrid-Puerta de Toledo Campus Library.

From the Directorate of the Master in Actuarial and Financial Sciences, we want to publicly thank the Pieschacón family for this donation that will surely prove to be of great use to the students of the master when it comes to documenting themselves for their studies and final master’s projects.
