The Challenge program is an academic activity of the UB-Zurich Chair that aims to provide students from all Spanish universities that offer an Official Master’s program in Actuarial and Financial Sciences an opportunity to apply their skills and knowledge to a real problem, under the supervision of professionals from the insurance sector.
In this eighth edition, thirty-two students organized into seven teams, from four different universities (Carlos III University of Madrid, Complutense University of Madrid, University of Barcelona, University of the Basque Country), have worked for four weeks in the study of the case entitled āHome insurance: new challenges and trends in a changing and uncertain environmentā, with the support of a team of tutors from Zurich Seguros coordinated by Mr. Alex AguyĆ© Casademunt, Director of Non-Automobile Personal Lines Subscription & Product Workshop.
The winning team is made up of Carlos Vicente, Gonzalo PƩrez, Joe Hidalgo, SebastiƔn Uribe, Silvia Collado and Juan SƔnchez and their proposal has been based on improving the pricing of household products through photogrammetry and the use of drones.
Also special mention to other finalist teams from our university.
