MAPFRE and UC3M held the VII Academic Seminar on the Challenges of New Longevity in Madrid, focusing on cognitive preservation, healthcare, and vital, lifelong health insurance models.

Family businesses have more incentives to avoid labor practices such as layoffs, which can damage the affective value that the family has invested in the company, undermine its reputation and project a pejorative image within its community. That is one of the conclusions of an international research project involving the Carlos III University of Madrid (UC3M), which analyzes whether companies controlled by a family offer greater job security compared to non-family businesses.
