How accreditations work

About 1 percent of all MBA Programs worldwide are AMBA-accredited and an even smaller share have both AMBA and AACSB accreditations.

Both accreditations rely on regular external audits conducted by panels of Deans or Program Directors of other internationally accredited schools. Each time the MBA is re-evaluated, the AMBA or AACSB panel visits the university, reviews the facilities, talks with students, faculty and employers, and examines all the aspects of the program (from admissions to curriculum to career services) to ensure that they meet the highest international standards. The panel also makes recommendations to be implemented before the following visit takes place.

The UC3M MBA is accredited by AMBA since 2006 and by AACSB since 2017.
