Representatives from Clare Hall, including Professor Andrew Blake, Dr Fiona Blake and Helen Pennant, recently visited the Carlos III University of Madrid (UC3M) to strengthen the College's international collaboration and its ties with the Spanish Society of Clare Hall. During the visit, they were welcomed by former Clare Hall fellows now at UC3M, who guided the group around the campuses and facilitated meetings with university management, highlighting interest in the visiting fellows programme and promoting academic exchange.
The meeting included an event on the central Madrid campus, where presentations were given on science, healthy longevity and art, highlighting the joint talk by Professor Andrew Blake and Dr Fiona Blake on artificial intelligence and art. The visit strengthened personal and academic connections between Clare Hall and its Spanish members, and the College looks forward to welcoming them all to Cambridge during its 60th anniversary celebrations in April 2026.
