Call for Papers: II Paper Development Workshop (PDW) in Strategy, organized by the Strategy Section of ACEDE

We are pleased to announce the II Paper Development Workshop (PDW) in  Strategy, organized by the Strategy Section of ACEDE. The event will be hosted by Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M), with the support of the Institute for Business and Market Development (INDEM), on October 28–29, 2026, in Madrid.

The primary goal of this PDW is to assist researchers in refining their manuscripts for potential publication in high-impact academic journals. The PDW provides a collaborative environment where participants receive detailed and constructive feedback from experts in the field, including editors from prestigious journals.

The PDW offers two modalities for participation:

  • Early-stage research: Focuses on novel ideas and emerging research questions.

  • Advanced-stage research: Tailored for papers with more developed results.

Accepted contributions will be presented as either a poster session or a full presentation, depending on the study's stage of development.

The event will also feature the new Editor-in-Chief of BRQ Business Research Quarterly, as well as María José Sánchez Bueno, who serves as Associate Editor (AE) for Long Range Planning and is a member of the Review Board for Family Business Review and the Journal of Business Research, amongst other journals.


Submission Guidelines:

Authors may submit either full papers or extended abstracts (the required length in this case is 2500-3000 words, and they should include Pincipal Topic, Method, and Results used to collect and analyze the data).

Submissions should address topics within the field of strategy. 

Papers should be in development and not yet submitted to academic journals.

  • Submissions will be sent to estrategia.acede@gmail.com.

  • The organizing committe, with the asistance of external reviewers, if necessary, will evaluate the submitted Papers/proposals.
  • Decisions latters will de sent to the autores in June 2026

Author will present their papers/proposal during the allocated time slots(Poster session or Presentations), followed by some time for Q&A. All submissions will be shared with the audience and invited speakers.

The panel of expert academics in strategy will provide general feedback, specific clarifications, and valuable suggestions. This high-quality feedback will help authors refine their manuscripts, enhancing their chances of being published in top academic journals within this field of knowledge

Notification of acceptance: June 2026

PDW dates: October 28 - 29, 2026


Location and Registration:

The PDW will take place at Puerta de Toledo Campus, Carlos III University of Madrid. Attendance fee:

- €150 for ACEDE members

- €200 for non-members.
