They made the presentation of MILLIMAN, Borja Sánchez Izard, Senior Consultant and Inés de Castro, Consultant.

MILLIMAN's presentation focused on its performance as a company purely dedicated to actuarial consulting, making its internationality known despite being a small company in Spain. Within the world of actuarial consulting, they have explained what kind of technical projects (with insurers or insurance banks) they have been immersed in, such as: IFRS17 with collaboration between the offices of France, Spain and Portugal, Mergers & Acquisitions, Solvency II, among others.

They also offered real examples of these projects, explaining their different phases, as well as the objectives they seek to analyze at each point: Prophet (life); Pricing (non-life); Review Reserves (non-life), etc., always bearing in mind the importance of knowing how to manage a clean database so that each project they have in the company is successful, so programming is also important. Some of the tools used are SQL, Accurate or internal programs of the company that they want to continue promoting.

On the other hand, they explained the selection process as an affordable procedure in which there is a technical interview, a personal one with HR and questions in English, since, although no official accreditation is required, it is important to have a good level to be able to communicate between colleagues and offices in the different countries in which the company is present.

Finally, they interacted with the students at the end of the presentation, commenting on issues related to promotion in the company and placing special emphasis on technical capacity, market vision and project management as keys that they are looking for in a student as a potential worker.
