José Miguel Rodríguez-Pardo has a doctorate in Economics from the UCM and a doctorate in Biomedicine from the UEM, as well as a postgraduate degree in business management from the EOI and PDG-BBVA at IESE, an actuary and a graduate in Economics and Business Sciences.

He developed his professional career at BBVA since 1984, where he was general director at BBVA Seguros (2000-2010); In addition, he has been a director of 13 entities related to the insurance sector.

Regarding the academic world, until August 2023 he has been a professor and academic coordinator of the Master in Actuarial and Financial Sciences at UC3M, a professor at the Faculty of Medicine of the UCM (Master of Human Nutrition), IEB, ICEA. He has supervised 200 master's thesis, has authored 40 publications and has given some 125 lectures related to actuarial and insurance science, particularly about longevity, ethics and technological disruption in insurance.

Rodríguez-Pardo is president of the School of Financial and Actuarial Practice of the Institute of Spanish Actuaries, president of the Bioactuarial Research Group of AGERS, coordinator of the working group that won the Julio Castelo del Seguro International Award, member of the Strategic Council of Multiasistencia, advisor of Segurosbroker and member of the Advisory Council of the Mutual Society of Lawyers.
