Classes for the 24-25 academic year of the Master in Actuarial and Financial Sciences began on September 9.
The course was inaugurated by Professor PhD José Miguel Rodríguez-Pardo del Castillo with a talk entitled "The Actuarial Profession in the Framework of the Economy of Inclusion and the Protection Gap"
José Miguel Rodríguez-Pardo holds a PhD in Economics from the UCM and a PhD in Biomedicine from the UEM, as well as a postgraduate degree in business management from the EOI and PDG-BBVA at IESE, an actuary and a degree in Economics and Business Sciences.
As regards the academic world, he was until August 2023 a professor and academic coordinator of the Master in Actuarial and Financial Sciences at UC3M and is currently the President of the Courts in charge of grading the Master's Final Projects. He has supervised 200 master's theses, has authored 40 publications and has given some 125 lectures related to actuarial and insurance science, in particular on longevity, ethics and technological disruption in insurance.
