II Edition of the Santalucía Awards for Final Master’s Projects of the Master’s Degree in Actuarial and Financial Sciences of the Carlos III University of Madrid

The act was presented by Begoña Domínguez Redruello, Director of Institutional Relations of Campus de Santalucía Seguros.

Next, we had the privilege of having a presentation by José Garrido, Professor of Actuarial Sciences at Concordia University in Montreal and a round table with Sergio Real Campos, General Director of Iris Global Protection Solutions and Alfredo Santos Miranda, Insurance Manager Personal.

70% of the master’s degree students who defended their Master’s Thesis participated in the contest.

Finally, the awarded TFMs as the best Final Projects of the Master in Actuarial and Financial Sciences of the Carlos III University of Madrid have corresponded to the students:

  • First Prize to Mateo Caro for “Artificial vision and Deep Learning in the construction of an optimal investment portfolio”.
  • Second Prize to Miriam Arribas García for “Artificial Intelligence applied to cross-selling in insurance”.
  • Third prize to Marcos Sánchez Sardaña with “Predictive model of cross-selling in Life and Health products: Random Forest vs XGBoost”.

After the presentations by the awarded students and the awards ceremony, the event was closed by Juan Manuel Rueda Martín, General Director of People, Organization and Communication at Santalucía Seguros.
