UC3M Business hosts the VI MadBar Workshop

The “Mad Bar” is an annual one-day workshop in Corporate Finance with special emphasis on Financial Intermediation. It represents an opportunity for researchers in banking and corporate finance from leading Spanish institutions to present their work and strengthen their connections.

The VI edition of the MadBar Workshop will take place on Friday, October 15. The Department of Business of UC3M will host the event at the Puerta de Toledo Campus (face-to-face format). See attached program.

If you would like to attend the workshop, please send an email to madbarworkshop@gmail.com indicating your willingness to attend. The deadline is this Friday, October 1.

Doctoral students are encouraged to attend, but they also need to register.

Family businesses have more incentives to avoid labor practices such as layoffs, which can damage the affective value that the family has invested in the company, undermine its reputation and project a pejorative image within its community. That is one of the conclusions of an international research project involving the Carlos III University of Madrid (UC3M), which analyzes whether companies controlled by a family offer greater job security compared to non-family businesses.
