On December 15, the second meeting corresponding to the cycle of company presentations "Actuarial Days-Master in Actuarial and Financial Sciences" was held.

The invited company of the day was PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

PwC (short for PriceWaterhouseCoopers) is recognized as one of the Big Four consulting firms, along with Deloitte, EY, and KPMG.

It is the first largest professional services firm in the world, providing auditing, consulting, and legal and tax advisory services to the main companies, institutions, and governments at a global level.

The event was attended by PwC, Pablo Orue-Echebarria, Senior Actuarial Manager and Jaime Sáez Martínez de la Pedraja, Actuarial Consultant and former MCAF student (2019-2021).

Pablo Orue-Echevarría made a presentation of the company explaining what the career in the actuarial team is like, the type of projects that are carried out (Solvency II, IFRS17, Consulting Due Diligence, and other consulting projects).

Jaime then commented on his personal experience from his beginning as an intern at PwC until now.

Then they talked about the technical and technology training that the firm imparts to its professionals, about the career plan and the forecast of growth of the actuarial team, as well as the entry into force of the IFRS17 standard in 2023 and the importance of the same; to end there was a question time from the attending students.
