Last February, 27th, took place on the Puerta de Toledo campus the V Journey of Actuarial and Financial Investigation: the last trends on actuarial and financial modelling. The event was a collaboration between the university and ICEA, the service of statistics and studies of the insurance sector in Spain.
The lecture was introduced by Margarita Samartín, director of the Master in Actuarial and Financial Science, who made a presentation of the topics that will be talked about on the journey. Moreover, Juan David Arias, a student of the master, explained his dissertation to all of the people who attended the event, due to the fact that his dissertation got a high grade.
It was a really nice event and it had a high level of attendance, around 80 people between proffesors and students were on the lecture, for whom, the entrance was free. From March, 7th, ICEA will offer on their website a video of the journey so people who couldn't attend the event would be able to watch it.
