Four articles from our faculty have been awarded in the XXIII Finance
Forum held in Madrid (Spain). The article “Banks' equity holdings and
their impact on security issues”, written by professor Josep A. Tribó
Giné, has been awarded with Best Paper of the Conference. In turn, the
paper entitled "The determinants of the multiple-term structures from
interbank rates", written by professor Pedro Serrano joint with Nuria
Petit Montserrat (Universidad Jaume I) and Juan Ángel Lafuente
(Universidad Jaume I) has received the award for Best Paper on Fixed
Income. Furthermore, the paper "The Bright Sides of Financial
Derivatives: Options Trading and Innovation", co-authored by Ph.D.
students Iván Blanco Sánchez and David Wehrheim has been awarded with
Best Paper on Derivatives. Finally, the paper entitled "Auditor
switching and feedback shopping: Firm partner versus effects", written
by professor Beatriz García Osma with Elena de las Heras (Universidad
Autónoma de Madrid) and Belén Gill de Albornoz Noguer (Universidad Jaume
I), has received the award for Best Paper on Regulation.
