Master in Actuarial and Financial Sciences. Final Master's Projects 20-21.

Once the 20-21 course is closed, we can take stock of the results obtained by the students as far as the Master's Thesis is concerned.

Of the 39 TFMs defended, 10 obtained a grade of 9 or higher, thus giving the possibility for students to publish their work in the Documentation Center of the Fundación Mapfre as has been done in previous editions of the Master.

Likewise, and according to an agreement obtained with the library of the Carlos III University of Madrid, the students have been able to deposit their work in the e-Archive of the University where they can be consulted and serve as a reference for other works.

On the other hand, the company Seguros Santalucía has established for the first time and exclusively for the students of the master a contest to reward the best TFM defended. They have awarded three prizes of 1,500, 1,000 and 500 Euros respectively. The awards were delivered last October during the Graduation Ceremony.

You can consult the press release issued by Santalucía here.

Regarding the collaboration of the master with Mutualidad de la Abogacía, four other works were selected to be published on the website of the School of Thought of the Foundation of the Mutual Society.

Finally, it is worth mentioning the work presented by the student Silvia Gómez Cifuentes, entitled “Catastrophic Bonds for Nuclear Accidents: Alternative Transfer Method of risks ”, which due to its great interest has been referred to the ASEGURADORES DE NUCLEAR RISKS. The purpose of the Association is to provide auxiliary services, administrative, technical and financial to its partners, related to the activity of nuclear risk insurers/reinsurers.
