Actuarial Days: KPMG

On February 22, the presentation of KPMG took place in the cycle of business presentations and conferences of the Master in Actuarial and Financial Sciences.

They took part in the talk on behalf of KPMG, Jesús Sánchez-Pacheco. Director of the Insurance sector of FS-Consulting KPMG in Spain and Amaya Hurtado and Sara Mendoza, both Senior Consultants of the Insurance sector of FS-Consulting KPMG in Spain and former students of the Master in Actuarial and Financial Sciences.

The presentation began with an explanation by Jesús Sánchez-Pacheco of the different areas of the firm: consulting, auditing, lawyers. Next, the actuarial professional career in the firm and other possible career development options were discussed, to then comment on the structure of FS Consulting and the type of professional services provided in the area.

Afterward, Amaya and Sara commented on their professional career since completing the master's degree, explaining the type of projects they have developed and carry out in the company. The importance of continuous training and the methodologies that follow to provide the updating and specialization that professionals need was addressed.

Finally, a question time was opened in which the attendees raised different questions about career development, professional opportunities, tools used, etc.
